Brand Rebellion, founded in February 2022 by Bryden Campbell and David Campbell, emerged from a shared recognition of a prevalent issue within organisations: the disconnect between their core purpose, brand identity, and the people driving their success.

With Bryden’s extensive experience in senior brand and marketing roles and David’s background as a people and organisation strategist in a multinational consulting firm, they set out to revolutionise the way businesses approach their brand and workforce dynamics.

Founder & Managing Director

Bryden Campbell

Bryden has over 12 years of marketing experience developing and managing brands, stakeholder engagement and developing digital marketing strategies, she has worked on some of Canberra’s most prolific brands across government, innovation enterprise and small business.

Prior to launching Brand Rebellion, her most recent appointment was the Marketing Director of the Canberra Innovation Network. She led the marketing to create a globally recognised brand positioning both the company and the city as the destination of innovation, entrepreneurship, research and creativity.

Bryden has worked on major destination marketing campaigns for both VisitCanberra and Brand CBR and she has also tutored at the University of Canberra in advertising. Bryden always finds a way to inject innovation into an already highly creative process.

David Campbell

David Campbell is an experienced organisation and workforce practitioner, specialising in the design, development and implementation of workforce planning, strategy and people solutions. He has extensive experience across diverse industries spanning corporate, not-for-profit, government, defence and the intelligence community.

Prior to joining Brand Rebellion, David spent a decade at a multinational consultancy. David delivers progressive solutions and outcomes across both large-scale transformations and corporate functions using a data-driven approach that is accurate, dependable and holistic. David is passionate about helping businesses thrive and has an aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to seamlessly navigate complexity.

Senior Design & Creative Strategist

Britt Nichols

Britt Nichols is a versatile designer, creative strategist, and marketing professional with over a decade of experience bringing bold ideas to life in the real world. With expertise spanning branding, digital marketing, event management, and the vibrant intersection of design and placemaking, Britt thrives at the crossroads of creativity and strategy.

Prior to joining Brand Rebellion, Britt was the local producer of ACT Surface Festival, bringing public art to life in unexpected spaces, and drove creative engagement at the Canberra Innovation Network, where she facilitated events and opportunities for startups and innovators. She is the Design Director for Eaten magazine, an international publication where her work bridges history, hunger and design.

A passionate advocate for Canberra’s arts scene and a hands-on creator, Britt’s artistic flair and DIY ethos ensure every project she undertakes is infused with authenticity and originality. From multi-channel marketing campaigns to public art installations, Britt excels at projects that require creativity, collaboration and flawless execution.

Senior Marketing & Communications Manager

Kali Gatehouse

Kali is an experienced and motivated marketing and communications manager, possessing extensive experience in directing and executing multifaceted campaigns from inception to conclusion. Over the course of her eight-year tenure in the media and marketing industry, Kali has garnered a diverse skill set by working across various sectors, including but not limited to hospitality, tourism, construction, cyber and tech.

Before joining Brand Rebellion, Kali served as the marketing head of one of Canberra's largest corporations, where she oversaw all marketing and media efforts for six multi-million-dollar property developments. She also assisted in the development of a community-centric rebranding initiative for the organisation. Prior to this, Kali led the marketing and communications for numerous hospitality venues in Canberra.

As an enthusiastic storyteller, Kali is passionate about collaborating with companies to uncover their brand values and effectively communicate them to their target audience. This approach results in building trustful consumer-brand relationships and delivering measurable outcomes.

Senior Workforce Manager

Nick Allen

Nick is an experienced consultant, with a strong track record support clients across various sectors, supporting the alignment of their workforce with the future strategic direction and objectives of the organisation. A nerd for the technical stuff and a problem solver for fun, he thrives in fast-paced, complex and ambiguous environments. He is a collaborator by nature, and advocate for the people who champions a human-centred approach throughout.

With prior experience in government as well as working within the community, he understands what makes things tick and how things get done. He is passionate about people and their intersection with technology and strives to provide innovative solutions for the complex challenges of tomorrow.

Outside of work, he is often consumed by the footy, fixing divots on the golf-course, or tasting the offerings at the pub.

Marketing & Communications Manager

Terry Cheng

Terry is a strategic media advertising and marketing specialist with deep expertise in paid media, digital innovation and campaign performance. With a strong foundation in government and education sectors, Terry has led large scale national campaigns, introduced cutting-edge digital products, and driven measurable outcomes across omnichannel strategies.

Known for his collaborative approach and ability to bridge data with creative execution, he thrives in fast-paced environments where he can challenge norms, optimise performance and foster team growth. Terry is passionate about shaping meaningful brand experiences through insight-led communication strategy and long-term client partnerships.

Brand & Workforce Strategist

Charlotte Griffiths

Lotte is a creative and organized professional with experience working in a range of environments; from leading advertising agencies, SMEs and Fintech start-ups. Through an education at Sydney University studying Economics with a major in Marketing, she brings a logical approach to problem solving and combines this with an eye for branding & design.

Prior to joining Brand Rebellion, Lotte worked as a marketing manager for a portfolio of regional pubs, alongside branding & operating a successful rural farm stay and wedding venue. Lotte is a self-starter that can act on opportunity using skills establishing relationships, trouble-shooting problems, and building brands through online assets; including website & social media design.

Outside of work you’ll find Lotte painting, sewing or reading up on the latest Vogue. As a Sydney native she now enjoys life on acreage in country NSW growing veggies and caring for her brood of backyard chooks.

Petra Boer

Petra Boer is a versatile go-getter who brings creativity and strategy to the table. Whether she's crafting impactful messaging across publications and social media or designing impactful content, Petra brings a blend of insight, analysis and innovation to make every project shine.

Darcy Gowland

Darcy is a nationally recognised up-and-coming marketing practitioner with a sharp mind for strategy, and passion for brand experience. Equal parts creative and analytical, Darcy brings a fresh perspective to every brief, blending their unique brand of lateral thinking with data-driven insights to deliver brand and marketing solutions that cut through.

A background in crafting engaging long-form content has taught them how to connect audiences with ideas in meaningful ways allowing them to turn complex concepts into a clear, compelling message that aligns with brand voice and purpose.
